Frequently Asked Questions
Is Osteopathy covered by Private health insurance or Medicare?
Most private health companies can cover osteopathy, it is just a matter of whether your personal cover does so. It is best to contact your cover provider to ask them. If covered rebates can be done on the spot.

Osteopathy can be covered by Medicare providing referral from a GP with the appropriate Chronic Disease Management Plan.
Do I need a referral?
You do not need a referral to see an Osteopath, contacting us direct or hitting the book online button is all you need to do
How long will my appointment be?
Your first appointment will be around 45mins-1hr, subsequent appointments (if needed) will be 30 minutes.

Your first appointment is longer and carries a higher rate due to the need for a full diagnostic assessment and medical history.
How many appointments will I need?
The number of appointments varies from patient to patient, as well as differing diagnoses.

Upon your first treatment, a management plan will be thoroughly explained and outlined as to ensure clarity for the condition and therefore how long / how many appointments it will take to achieve the goals of both the patient and practitioner.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Due to the nature of Osteopathy being a hands on/manual therapy you may be required to undress certain layers of clothing as to allow the practitioner to adequately assess and treat. Patient gowns are provided to ensure comfort, and it is not 100% necessary to disrobe if you are not comfortable.

Stretchy loose clothing is best
